
Not surprisingly (but a little morbid) special commemorative issues honoring Michael Jackson are accounting for a much-needed boost in magazine sales. According to
Ad Age, the sale of special Michael Jackson commemorative issues and books have added up to an extra $55 million in newsstand sales with every magazine from People and Us Weekly to
Jet, Time and Newsweek publishing commemorative issues. Magazine sales are expected to be boosted again next week with issues honoring Senator Ted Kennedy; at this time both Time magazine and Newsweek are planning special tribute issues.
