Bloomberg recently took over the 80-year-old business magazine and more recently named former Time magazine deputy managing editor, Josh Tyrangiel, as editor-in-chief. BusinessWeek is the second magazine to tap a broadcaster for a column--Katie Couric recently started writing a column for Glamour magazine.
Lucky magazine and shopping service provider Mall Networks launched an online shopping experience in the form of a “fashion and beauty e-boutique.” The shopping platform is the first in which the magazine's editors can curate the search results on a daily basis. The e-boutique features more than 40 retailers, 450 brands and 86,000 products.
Finally, Giant Magazine, a bi-monthly lifestyle magazine, will cease its print publication and publish only online.
It's amazing how many magazines decide to publish only online. I think it is a little bit to soon because there are still some people who don't have a constant access to the Internet or who simply like reading something on paper. I am the one for example, I love the smell of the freshly published magazine and I wouldn't like to read my favourites online.
