As editor-in-chief Mariette DiChristina will oversee the print and online editions of Scientific American and Scientific American Mind and all special editions.
A science journalist for more than 20 years, held the position of executive editor until her current appointment. She also served as the editor of Scientific American Mind, a publication she launched.Prior to joining Scientific American, DiChristina spent nearly 14 years at Popular Science magazine in positions concluding as executive editor. DiChristina is the current president of the 2,500-member National Association of Science Writers.
Scientific American magazine covers a wide range of topics in physical and social sciences and technology. Since its founding in 1845, Scientific American magazine has published articles by more than 140 Nobel laureate authors including Albert Einstein, Francis Crick, Stanley Prusiner and Richard Axel.
